Summary: Overall, I had a very nice stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The hostel is, as its name suggests, very central and easy to reach from the train station. The rooms, bathrooms, and showers were clean, though the first night, the bathroom on my floor was out of order, and the women's showers lacked hooks for hanging clothing and towels. It appeared that they were doing work on those spaces, so it may not be an issue in the future. The other people in my rooms (a mixed sex room the first night and an all-women room for the four following nights) were very nice and considerate. I would recommend Central Hostel as a pleasant and budget-conscious way to visit Bordeaux.
