Positive: Quiet location 15 mins walk from St Martin Vesubie, a lovely mountain village with small supermarket, excellent bakeries, bookshop with cafe, outdoor activities centre for canyoning etc., indoor swimming pool and extensive climbing walls. Great base for high level mountain walks, although some roads are still impassable following the devastation of Storm Alex. Mountain views from the bedroom and the outdoor kitchen. Small but very pleasant swimming pool. We didn't use the games room but this would have been fun in bad weather.

Negative: Host and one of the guests stayed up drinking and talking right under our room until 3am on our last night then started playing live music in the basement at 5am. Really not acceptable. Their fire smoked all night all over our towels and meant we had to keep our window shut on a very hot night. The outdoor kitchen needed some serious cleaning and updating - only two tiny and battered saucepans without lids or huge pots, dirty frying pans, broken gas ring, two of the (blunt) knives came apart in my hand, dirty towels. Bed linen was provided but no guest towels. Fierce notices everywhere with Rules and stressing that guests were always on CCTV except when in the bathroom - not very welcoming at all!
