Summary: Not bad for an affordable stay in San Diego. The room we had on the second floor was pretty small but we just needed a place to sleep so that was fine. There were some stains on the bedding that kinda grossed us out, and the fitted sheet didn’t really fit on the mattress at all; the second we got in bed it just snapped off and we struggled to get it back on. No matter how hard we tried, it would come off very quickly, which was pretty annoying. The walls are super thin and you can hear other people in their rooms and all the noise from the busy street outside. The mini fridge was nice and there were cans of water and cookies waiting for us when we entered the room for the first time. The bathroom door was… interesting. I’m not sure why there wasn’t just a normal door, it was a sliding door on a track but it kept getting stuck and took a ton of effort to slide open and shut. The door is also too small for the doorframe, so there is a pretty significant gap on the sides even when the door is shut, so don’t expect bathroom privacy if you’re with someone else. There’s also no shower door, it’s a walk in shower but you are forced to stand in the same place the whole time so water doesn’t spray all over the bathroom. Check in and check out was pretty easy and the luggage storage was very helpful. This is a nice place if you just need an affordable place to sleep on a San Diego vacation but don’t expect anything but the bare minimum.
