Located in the protected Natura 2000 zone, this gîte is perfect for a peaceful retreat on a 2-hectare property surrounded by woods and canals in the Marais Poitevin, southern Vendée. Just 20 minutes from Luçon, 40 minutes from Vendée’s sandy beaches, 45 minutes from La Rochelle, Île de Ré, and La Roche-sur-Yon, 25 minutes from Lake Mervent, its zoo, and Vouvant, and 1 hour from Puy du Fou park.
The gîte accommodates 2 guests and features an equipped kitchen (washing machine, electric oven, microwave) open to the living room with TV. There is one bedroom with a double bed (140 x 190) and a spacious bathroom.
Next to the Tournesol gîte, each unit has its own private garden separated by shrubs, a terrace, barbecue, garden furniture, and loungers overlooking the canal.
The heated, secure pool is open from mid-May to late September (weather permitting), from 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Outdoor games include football, badminton, table tennis, volleyball, darts, swing, slide, and Molkky. Bicycles are provided, and you can enjoy a boat ride on the Canal des Hollandais.
Fishing enthusiasts are welcome—please bring your own equipment. Free Wi-Fi. No pets allowed.
Bed linen and towels are not included but can be booked in advance and beds will be made for your arrival. Baby equipment is available free of charge on request (made-up cot, high chair, bath).
